From March 1st 2014, Property Managers must use the new version of the condition report for rental premises. The new report includes the addition of 'window safety devices' wherever 'window/screens' appear.

Each year, around 50 children fall from windows or balconies in Australia. Many suffer serious injuries and sometimes these falls are fatal. The changes to the condition report for residential tenancies is one of a number of measures the NSW Government has developed to help prevent the incidence of falls.
